This piece came through with such ease as one piece of information in about ten minutes. All I did was record what I heard verbatim, remove a few words here and there, and the poem rose, gleaming, in its entirety. It was as if I did nothing, and suddenly it was there. A rare, true gem and gift.

The great beasts
of the oceanic deep,
and the great beasts
of the high land,
hold up their torch
in the sanctity of one hand—

While the other bequests
the love of the Earth
who so kindly carries
our billions on berth.

And what if she shook,
this great Earthly mother,
and shook us all off
like a dog offing water?

Yet she, our Mother,
carries us tirelessly round,
season after season
our feet on her ground.

So, say hey, the Winter
and Spring, Summer, Fall,
the ripeness of all turning
the turning of all—

Is the great Mother planet
of all changes, all kinds,
who burst forth with volcanoes
and swept up her tides.

She pulls herself willingly
the great moon in tow
round the sun of all suns
round the galaxy row.

See you harvest moons rise
opposite setting suns?
See you capped mountain peaks
all hovering as one?

For in Winter snow play
and lazy ass Summers
Fall’s crisp leaf turnings
and Spring’s nettled blooms,

They are all as the one
of the time of the sun
and settling in our midst
is the oneness of one.

Connected we are
through our blood and our bone.
Connected we are
through the seasons of one.

Ancient are ways
tied up in the new—
held precious in hand
these seeds of the few

Planted in our hearts
and held as one
under the sun of all suns
as the maker of one.

For differences rest
in the seat of the nest
where bombs and shed blood
are angriest.

For never is settle
in now and here
til differences rest
and ancient mysteries clear—

When the old story is sung
to be understood
between ancient history
of the bones and the blood.

And so the beasts wail
on land and in sea,
listen, oh listen,
as once did we

to Mother Earth orbit
hailing her Sister suns and stars,
and salutations Brother planets,
Pluto, Saturn and Mars.

So as we stand separate
as separate we shall.
So as we stand separate
so shall we as one.
