“There is a Wind”

There is a wind in the ways of time.
And few see their face in the mirror.
It is the way of the warrior of free will.
True to their own light that bears the torch out into darkness.
Hasten to scurry to might or weakness
is the way of most souls—
Few find truth in the source of themselves—
So busy looking to the outside.

Show others well your kindness
and strength in that kindness.
There is no strength in meanness or avarice,
only a show to cover the insecure soul.

Hasten to beckon the ward of angels that sit at your behest.
The multitudes are all at the asking if only you request.
Shine forth oh soul of light
Shine on into darkening night
and wake in the morning refreshed of truth--
The best grain of blood in the sea of day.

You hold bolts of lightning of greatness in one hand
and fragments of petals blossoming kindness in the other.
Use love as your sword, faith as your shield
and forgiveness to humanity in the heart of the soul.

Come hold the babies’ breath in hand—
of lightness and promise and hope.
Come hold the elderly song of life and marvel
at what one life can give, can do—
And it is here and gone
in a breath, in time’s sake, or so it seems.
It’s here and gone in a moment—
a life time of doings and dreams.

There is no right or wrong way to live,
there is only the living at hand—
It comes and it goes in us as best we know how
and sails us beyond which we know.

Hold the wonderment in heart, not at bay.
Hold it so precious and dear.
Hold the wonderment in hand and up to the light—
For in wonderment is where we find miracles
of the simplest laid forth in magnificent plan:
The lace of butterfly wings
of the rainbows in dew
and the simple sleep of a curled up cat.

We are in the wonder of all
In the wonder of truth—
Simple and miraculous
Light and love, truth and the name of life.
